What exactly is an AI chatbot and how does it work on my website?
An AI chatbot is a small chat window that sits on your website — usually in the bottom corner. When a visitor lands on your site, they can click it and start typing questions, just like texting. The AI reads their message and responds instantly with accurate answers about your business, services, and pricing. It's trained specifically on your business info, so it sounds like you — not a generic robot. It captures leads, books appointments, and handles common questions 24/7 without you lifting a finger.

Is this just a FAQ bot, or can it actually book jobs?
It's much more than a FAQ bot. Depending on your plan, your chatbot can answer questions, collect lead information (name, phone, address, job type), give ballpark estimates, and book appointments directly — syncing to your Google Calendar automatically. Customers on our Growth and Scale plans get full appointment booking built in.
Do I need any technical skills to use this?
Zero. We handle absolutely everything — building the bot, training it on your business, and installing it on your website. All you need to do is answer a few questions about your services during the onboarding call, and we take it from there. If you can use your phone, you can use our system.
Will the chatbot actually sound like my business, or will it sound generic?
Your bot is custom trained on your business — your services, your service area, your pricing range, and the tone you prefer. We don't use copy-paste templates. During setup, we do a discovery call to understand exactly how you talk to customers, and we build the bot to match that. Customers routinely think they're talking to a real person on your team.
Setup & Timeline
How long does it take to get my chatbot live?
Most clients are live within 24–48 hours of their onboarding call. Here's the typical timeline:
  • Day 1: You book a free demo call (20 minutes)
  • Day 1–2: We build and train your custom chatbot
  • Day 2: We send you one line of code to paste into your website
  • Day 2: Your bot goes live and starts capturing leads
We've never had a client wait more than 3 business days.
What do I need to provide to get started?
Very little. We just need:
  • A 20-minute onboarding call to learn about your business
  • Your service area (cities/regions you cover)
  • Your list of services and rough pricing ranges
  • Access to paste one line of code into your website (or we can coordinate with your web person)
If you have an existing website, we'll review it beforehand to prepare. No documents or forms required upfront.
Does it work on any website — Wix, Squarespace, WordPress?
Yes — it works on any website platform. Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify, custom-coded sites, or anything else. All we do is add one small script tag to your site. If you're not sure how to do that, just tell us what platform you use and we'll give you the exact steps. Most platforms allow this in their settings without needing a developer.
What happens after the bot is live — do you just leave me on my own?
No. We monitor your bot and continue improving it over time. You'll receive monthly performance reports showing how many leads were captured, what questions customers asked, and how the bot is performing. If customers are asking questions the bot can't answer, we update it. Scale plan clients also get a dedicated account manager who checks in proactively.
Pricing & Billing
What's the difference between the setup fee and the monthly fee?
The setup fee is a one-time payment that covers the work we do to build, train, and install your custom chatbot. It's paid once when you sign up. The monthly fee covers the ongoing service — keeping the bot running 24/7, updating it as needed, hosting, the lead dashboard, and our support. Think of the setup fee as the build cost and the monthly as the operating cost.
Are there any hidden fees or usage limits I should know about?
No hidden fees. The Starter plan handles up to 300 conversations/month, and Growth and Scale are both unlimited. If you're on Starter and exceed your limit in a given month, we'll reach out to discuss upgrading — we won't cut your bot off mid-month. No surprise charges.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. You can cancel with 30 days' notice at any time. The setup fee is non-refundable as it covers the build work completed upfront, but there's no penalty or cancellation fee for stopping your monthly subscription.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?
Absolutely. You can upgrade at any time and the new features will be added to your bot, usually within 24 hours. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Most of our clients start on Starter and upgrade to Growth once they see the leads coming in.
Do you offer a free trial?
We don't offer a free trial, but we do offer a free 20-minute demo call where you can see exactly what your bot would look like and how it would work for your specific business — before paying anything. Many clients say the demo alone sold them. Book your free demo here.
Technical
Will the chatbot slow down my website?
No. The chat widget loads asynchronously — meaning it loads in the background after your main page content has already appeared. It adds less than 0.1 seconds to your page load time. We've specifically engineered it to be lightweight so it doesn't affect your Google PageSpeed score or user experience.
What happens if the chatbot doesn't know the answer to something?
If a question falls outside what the bot is trained on, it will gracefully say something like "That's a great question — let me connect you with our team" and capture the customer's contact info so you can follow up. It won't make things up or give wrong answers. We also review chat logs regularly and update the bot's knowledge when gaps appear.
Is my customer data safe and private?
Yes. All conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell or share customer data with third parties. Lead information collected through the chat (names, phone numbers, etc.) is stored securely and only accessible to you through your client dashboard. We comply with Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA).
Can I have the chatbot on multiple websites or locations?
Yes — this is available on our Scale plan. We can configure the bot to handle multiple locations, each with their own service areas, phone numbers, and scheduling. If you have 3 locations, customers automatically get routed to the right team based on their address or the page they're on.
Does it integrate with my existing software like ServiceTitan or HouseCall Pro?
Yes, on our Growth and Scale plans. We integrate with Google Calendar, ServiceTitan, HouseCall Pro, Jobber, and other popular field service management tools. New leads and booked appointments can flow directly into your existing system so nothing falls through the cracks and you don't have to use a second app.

How quickly will I start seeing results?
Most clients capture their first lead within hours of going live. Results in the first month depend on your website traffic — if 200 people visit your site per month, even converting 5–10% of them into conversations can mean 10–20 new leads you'd otherwise miss. Clients with higher traffic often see results within the first 48 hours.
What's the average ROI for your clients?
The average job value for a trades business ranges from $500–$5,000. If the chatbot captures just one extra job per month that you'd have otherwise missed, it pays for itself many times over. Most of our clients report recovering 3–5 missed jobs per month — jobs that came through the website after hours when they would've previously bounced to a competitor.
What if I don't get enough website traffic to make it worthwhile?
This is worth talking through on your demo call. If you're getting fewer than 50 visitors per month, the chatbot alone may not move the needle enough yet. In that case, we'd be honest with you and potentially recommend building traffic first. That said, even low-traffic sites often have visitors who just needed a nudge to convert — and the bot provides exactly that.
